Terms & Conditions

Last updated: May 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using Orif-Trolley, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. Age requirement

You must be at least 16 years old to use this service. The Irish Digital Age of Consent under the Data Protection Act 2018 is 16. By registering you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are the parent or guardian of a child who has registered without meeting this requirement, please contact us at cs-support@orif-trolley.ie to have the account removed.

3. Use of the service

Orif-Trolley is a grocery budget-tracking tool for personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to misuse the service, attempt to reverse-engineer it, use it for any unlawful purpose, or use automated systems, bots, scrapers, or scripts to access, collect, or interact with any part of the service. Automated access is strictly prohibited.

4. Receipt data & accuracy

When you scan a receipt, the image is sent to our servers solely to extract item and price data. Receipt images are deleted immediately after processing. Price data on Orif-Trolley is contributed by the community and is provided for informational purposes only. We do not guarantee that prices are current, complete, or accurate, and we accept no liability for decisions made in reliance on the information displayed — including, but not limited to, travelling to a store based on a displayed price.

5. Receipt integrity

You must only upload genuine, unaltered receipts. Uploading fraudulent, edited, or fabricated receipts is strictly prohibited and constitutes grounds for immediate account termination. We reserve the right to remove any content we reasonably believe to be fraudulent.

6. Accounts & security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings.

7. Household sharing

When you share a household with other users, those users will have access to the shared shopping lists, budgets, and receipt history associated with that household. Do not share access with people you do not trust.

8. Intellectual property

All content, trademarks, and software within Orif-Trolley are the property of the developer. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the app without prior written permission.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Orif-Trolley and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the service shall not exceed €50 or the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, whichever is greater.

10. Changes to terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you via the app when material changes are made, and your continued use of the service will require fresh acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.
